Journey to Kano, was an awesome experience.
Giving a glimpse into the inner workings of this ancient empire. I had known little about this region, given that it is not open to tourism and the fact that there can be conflicts that can make the trip treacherous. The immersive photography and the narrative of information has been invaluable for me as I seek to learn more about these little known regions of the continent. Whether you’re a traveler who wants to learn more about the continent of Africa, and the spaces that you’re not usually allowed to tour or, a historian, looking to find out more about the culture and history of people not open to “outsiders” Journey to Kano is a must own! I originally ordered the paper back and have been so blown away that i’m going to order the hardcover. My children love the images and asking questions about the culture.
